Malena Jewelry - Avatar commission
In 2020 the owner of Malena Jewelry , Silvia Malena, asked me to design an illustration that could be used on her social media profiles, and on business cards as well.
She is a goldsmith that produces crafted jewelry with a unique style that is inspired by nature. She reached to me asking for a cartoon-style portrait of herself while working at her table.
The atmosphere had to be playful and fairytale-esque like her craftwork. She was very interested in the creative process of the illustration so I took her through all the steps of the project in order to make sure that she would be satisfied with the finished product.
I presented my client three monochrome sketches, the third one was the one she liked the most. The final illustration was made on Procreate.
The client also requested a small animation: for this final task I used After Effects and the Duik Bassel plug-in.
